My book "Who I Am Not What I Am" helps children to focus on self-esteem and acceptance of others. The main character (Janelle) is a young girl who feels confident in herself until kids question her in regards to her race. This book is great for those who want to talk with their children about race relations in a fun and positive way. Many schools, libraries and organizatios have invited me to speak to their children in hopes that they can understand what diversity means and therefore fight the effects of bullying and low self-esteem. I will also lead a team of selfless individuals in bringing awareness and support to this cause. On this Saturday I will be a stop on the Reel Mixed Film Festival. I will be signing books and reading in Birmingham, MI at the Baldwin Library. I hope to see you!
