Bringing diversity awareness to you...

My book "Who I Am Not What I Am" helps children to focus on self-esteem and acceptance of others. The main character (Janelle) is a young girl who feels confident in herself until kids question her in regards to her race. This book is great for those who want to talk with their children about race relations in a fun and positive way. Many schools, libraries and organizatios have invited me to speak to their children in hopes that they can understand what diversity means and therefore fight the effects of bullying and low self-esteem. If you are interested in having me talk to youth at your camp, school, etc. please email me at whoiamnotwhatiam@yahoo.com My fees are based on time, size of audience, etc. This evening I am the keynote speaker for the Walk Now For Autism team sponsored by "Autism Speaks". I will also lead a team of selfless individuals in bringing awareness and support to this cause. On this Saturday I will be a stop on the Reel Mixed Film Festival. I will be signing books and reading in Birmingham, MI at the Baldwin Library. I hope to see you!
Read something great!
